When looking for a specific edition of a book or other kind of item, there are few strategies you can employ. Related editions are grouped by default in our search settings. This means that when you search for an item, it and anything that is a version of it (translations, other editions) are grouped.

If you are looking for a specific edition of an item you can view all related editions and formats by clicking into the item record and selecting "Editions and Formats".

Editions in this list are in the order of:

  • Held by McGill
  • Held by other institutions second (possible to request)

You can also choose to view all editions and formats of an item from the results view by deselecting the "Group related editions" option under "Search Tools" in the left hand column.
