Download instructions for Windows
Click to begin the download: X8 Windows download (zip file containing EndNote software and McGill License)
Log in with your McGill Username and McGill Password.
Click OK to save the zip file, then open it once the download is finished.
Click the Extract to or Extract all files link to run the Extraction Wizard (extraction steps may differ based on your OS and what software you are using, e.g. WinRar or WinZip).
When the compressed folders have been extracted, go to the location where they have been saved (which should open automatically for you).
Double-click on ENX7Inst.msi to run the software installation.
IMPORTANT: In order for the installed software to operate, the License.dat file cannot be renamed and must stay in the same location as the msi file.
- When I tried to install EndNote on PC, I was asked to enter a product key or get a 30-day free trial. How can I get the product key? Thanks
- Hi Sam,
If you look at this FAQ entry (https://mcgill.libanswers.com/citation/faq/158857) it should help with the product key issue.
