Q. How do I find a company's record of stock splits and dividends?

Start with Mergent Eventsdata (note works only in Internet Explorer). Search for a company and then select 'corporate actions' or 'dividends'). 

See also :

• Mergent Online database. Search for a company and click on Capital Stock in the menu bar.
• Bloomberg (available in the Humanities/McLennan Library, 3rd floor (Room M3-53B)) type the ticker symbol, hit the EQUITY key, type DVD and hit GO. For example: IBM EQUITY dvd GO
• Datastream terminal in the Humanities/McLennan Library, 3rd floor (Room M3-53B). Search a company, and select Dividend Payment Report or Capital Issues and Changes report for stock splits.
