Private companies are not legally required to release the same information as public companies, which can make it more difficult to track them down. You can search for private companies in the resources below to see if a profile has been made for them.

Mergent Online

Contains the Dun & Bradstreet 20 million + private company search. From the homepage select the "D&B 20 m plus" tab and use the filters to search for various companies.

CB Insights

A venture capitalist database that contains profiles for many private companies and startups.

MarketLine

Contains profiles on larger companies, both private and public. 


Newspaper articles are another great source for information on private companies. You can start by searching for the company names in some of our databases listed below.
